NEW BERN, N.C. - Elwood Edwards, an announcer known for voicing the iconic AOL email alert "You’ve got mail!" has died. He was 74 years old. He died Tuesday at his home in New Bern, North Carolina, his daughter confirmed. The cause was complications from a stroke late last year, she said.
