Like over at the Mound City cemetery. Many volunteers came out to the Mound City National Cemetery to place American flags at the gravestones of veterans in preparation for Memorial Day weekend.

The cemetery's oldest section ... an archeologist who leads mound preservation, clean-up and caring events that includes removing invasive plants from mounds around the state.
