Dubai’s Emirates airline has banned pagers and walkie-talkies from its planes, following last month’s attacks on such devices carried by the Lebanese militant group Hezbollah.

The move comes after communication devices used by Hezbollah members exploded last month, killing dozens of people.

Emirates has announced a ban on passengers carrying pagers or walkie-talkies onboard its flights. The Dubai airline said the ban would apply for both checked and carry-on luggage for all flights to, from and via Dubai.
