Increases in geomagnetic activity have contributed to multiple chances to see aurora borealis across the last few weeks in northern states.

States in the northern region of the U.S. have the potential to view the auroras multiple days this week, including Maine and Michigan. On Saturday, the auroras could be viewable from the following states, per the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration:

Folks in the northernmost US states, including New York, Montana, Washington state and Minnesota, will have a chance to add another aurora borealis sighting to their social media profiles on Monday and Tuesday night this week.
