The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration sent aircraft missions on into the eye of Hurricane Milton to collect data on hurricanes as the cyclone barrels towards Florida.

A harrowing video shows a research plane flying directly into Hurricane Milton, shaking violently due to heavy turbulence. The video has been released by the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration Aircraft Operations Center.

Hurricane hunters from the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Association had a bumpy ride as they flew through Hurricane Milton to gather data before the storm makes landfall.

They were to supposed to fly back on October 7, but their return was delayed by Hurricane Milton. These are today's mortgage and refinance rates. Rates are trending back up, though they remain low compared to earlier this year.

A live camera from the Florida Department of Transportation spotted a confirmed tornado on the ground in South Florida as Hurricane Milton barreled toward the state.
