Located on the grounds of Vigeland Park, I highly recommend clearing a big block of time to visit this museum/studio where the sculptor Vigeland and his fellow artists created his breathtaking works.… Full review by Brian E

We walked from our hotel on Karl Johan to the Central train station (which has booklets that tell you what trams or buses go which sites in the whole area) and the then took a tram to Frogner plass (or Vigeland sparken stop - both work) which are a block or so away from Vigland park, Vigland Museum, and the City Museum. We just looked it up on the schedule. - It was the # 12 tram. We found public transportation so very easy and efficient in Oslo.

Some weeks ago half of the main sculpture was under reconstruction, so that part was completely inaccessible. A week ago they were working on another part, but it was possible to walk around. It is not a good view when all the construction materials are clinging around. I hope that they finish soon, but I don't know when.

It is accessible to all on a daily basis and it is really worth a visit! It would be great if you could go with a guide who is knowledgeable about the philosophy of the artist and his works!
