Looking for things to do in Devon? You could easily spend a day making memories here at the Tiverton Canal horse-drawn barge. Located in Mid Devon, near Exeter and Taunton, on the beautiful Grand Western Canal, we are a truly unique family-owned Canal Living Heritage Attraction. Whether you relax at the The Ducks' Ditty floating cafebar or hire a rowing boat or Canadian canoe. The Grand Western Canal Country Park and Local Nature Reserve is one of Devon's hidden gems. Tiverton Canal Co run horse-drawn canal boat trips to a timetable from April to October which varies depending on the season. We are open 5 days a week on Tues - Thurs, Sat & Sun. We are also open on Fri in August. We're officially a Devon Tourist Awards '23 Finalist!

Would I be able to get on to barge with a folding electric wheelchair?

As far as I can see that would be possible. They seem to cater for everyone while I was there.

Yes it is dog friendly and while I was there I saw dogs onboard the barges.

Definitely book! I tried to book for afternoon later in the week but was full so settled on a morning one the next day.
