Senior membership benefits are from age 65 + plus. You can buy it online but try to see if your AAA membership can save you some money for the admission. They have 20% discount. See what is less expensive. It is wonderful place to visit during any season. Bank of America have great discounts too for local museums. Always ask for their best options. Have a wonderful trip there.

Yes there is a picnic area near the entrance. There is a small cafe for those who do not come with a picnic in mind, the items at the cafe are tasty treats.

Well I would say you can be “dressy “, but keep in mind, the weather, and walking in fancy heels can be a problem. Although most of the garden paths are paved or with stepping stones, other areas are usually grassy, so a word of caution. I think the seating area around the pool is quite appropriate for you ladies, but there are not many tables or chairs available, depending on the other visitors to the garden that day. So if you have some very expensive outfits, be aware of the accommodations and the garden foliage. Enjoy yourselves ladies!!!
