I am pretty aware that wherever I will go in this area, locals will tell me that I should take a guide. But is it really necessary? I want to visit and explore this place on my own, on the other hand I would like to save myself an adveture of getting lost somewhere in the jungle :) what do you guys think? And what's the best way to get around the area? Bike? Are motorbikes allowed (hope not)? TIA

Hi there. No we organised the trip ourselves via Mr Linh homestay website which you can get to via Ba Be National Park website. As to markets we did visit a very local market which was fascinating. I hope this helps but we are away from home for 10 days and I do not have access to my files. We thought Ba Be National Park was brilliant so I hope you go and enjoy it.Chris
