Yes, you can bring in food and you can bring in coolers (ours is small & soft-sided). Once inside, we "staked a claim" on a couple of beach lounge chairs opposite the wave pool. We had the cooler right there, and had no problems with anyone moving our things or taking anything during the day (and we were there for the entire day!).
