There is a fabulous group called the Te Awamutu Social riders who are mostly retired folk who ride and coffee every Wednesday. Many are on E-bikes. Te Awamutu is perhaps a bit far to go, but there is also the social ladies group around the Waikato (mainly Hamilton rides).
