Yes they are. However, you must make sure it is anchored. The winds are very strong at times and I have witnessed a heavy metal canopy roll away in the wind because the owner …

Yes they are. However, you must make sure it is anchored. The winds are very strong at times and I have witnessed a heavy metal canopy roll away in the wind because the owner only buried the legs in the sand. The people who appear to be regulars with canopies bring four 5 gallon buckets with them, fill them with bay water and bungee one to each leg of the canopy. Hope this helps.
