One of the better scenic spots along the driving route everyone takes around the bays. They do have a public toilet located on site as well.Full review by Christopher V

Well, yes a beach in winter, still holds the thrill of a swim if you want! Without the mass summer holiday crowds the beach is quite peaceful, so much so that the birds appear in numbers. There a lot…Full review by onitada

A reliable brunch venue, service can be patchy when busy but generally no complaints. The view is divine south coast.Full review by startwithaclick2015
Can I bring a gas bbq and have a sausage sizzle with my mates?

Well, that's a good question, to which I don't have a real answer. There is a life guard present, but that person is not exactly the beach patrol. It's hard to imagine someone tossing you off the sand with your barbie, unless it's some giant thing about which beachgoers complain to the lifeguard or directly to you. This is a pretty laid-back place. On the other hand, if you have a problem, just a few steps beyond Scorching Bay are some private little beaches where you could likely do whatever you want. There wouldn't be a lifeguard, and change/toilet facilities would be a short walk away, but in a pinch you could probably do that as an alternative. Just wondering if you don't realize there is nice cafe right at the beach, the Scorch-o-Rama. So unless you want to cook your own food, you do have access to a pretty nice menu with lots of offerings, and the place has outdoor seating right along the beach. Sorry not to have the answer, just making a guess based on my experience. i have seen some folks barbecuing at their cars parked in the upper lot across the street, then ferrying food down to the benches along the beach. Maybe that would be an option, too. This is a great place, one of my favorites here. Enjoy.
