It is composed of three villages: Cloașterf, Mihai Viteazu, and Saschiz. Saschiz, with its 15th-century church, has been the home of a UNESCO World Heritage Site, Villages with fortified churches in Transylvania, since its designation in 1999. The route of the Via Transilvanica long-distance trail passes through both Saschiz and Cloașterf.
