Beautiful location. Arrive early, it can get a little crowded especially in the busy season. Green sea turtles are often found relaxing on the beach & swimming in the clear water. Full review by TyWilde

How early does one need to get there to find parking? We’d be visiting in July (busy season) but during the week.

They just got rid of a lot of the parking. Park at the painted water tower on hanalei plantation Rd and walk down to beach. Trail is on the right. The road to the left is a private road.
On a Google map it looks like Honu Rd goes all the way down to Puu Poa Beach. Is it possible to access Puu Poa Beach via Honu Rd rather than going through HBR or St. Regis? If so, by car, bike and/or walking? Getting even more specific, does the end of Kekuanaoa Ln have any hidden trails or paths that cut through to HBR or onto Honu Rd? Thanks!

Honu Rd is private back entrance to St Regis for garbage trucks and maintenance vehicles. Locked gate at end of Old Hanalei Plantation Rd. You can walk down old Club Med property, it has public access walkway. no driving but bikes are okay. It has beach access and then walk up beach to Pui Poa by St Regis Hotel. OR you can walk down the hundreds of steps on left side of hotel.
