You can definitely see everything on your own. Check out ‘let’s go Europe’, or the ‘eyewitness travel guide Prague’ for an informative walk through the city. We'll be in Prague for New Year's and are considering splurging and going to the opera gala but are trying to sort out the packing logistics. I'd like any past attendees to weigh in on what to wear. Can I wear a fancy cocktail dress or do I have to go floor-length? Can my partner get away with a dark suit, of which he has many, or does he need a tux? We don't care about being the height of fashion, we just don't want to end up a thread on a "spot the American" blog post. Thanks!
A:
I don't think you need to bring the tux. Everything else you described will be quite sharp and appropriate. Have fun at this fabulous venue!
