Good little museum. Free entry when I went in August 2024. Lots of different pieces. Most no more than a century old. The building is spectacular too. Full review by geelongexpat

The cafe was self-service when I was there and the line was long and slow even for a beverage so I did not eat there. The outdoor part was not set up for outdoor seating in winter. I …

The cafe was self-service when I was there and the line was long and slow even for a beverage so I did not eat there. The outdoor part was not set up for outdoor seating in winter. I would think it would be more enjoyable to sit outside than inside when there are outdoor tables and the weather warms up because the interior courtyard is quite lovely. Even if you just walk around the garden you will enjoy it.

For the permanent collection about two hours. For the temporary exhibitions,depending on their depth and scope,an other hour or two
