We are currently preparing for a big project to restore the Georgian dams at the bottom of the garden. The middle lake (downstream of the Palladian Bridge) has been drained for a couple of years now to relieve pressure on the middle dam. We have just relocated the Tea Shed to the top of the garden ready for the project and this should be ready to open tomorrow (11 June). You can find more information about the project on our website (scroll down to the 'our work' section - I'm not able to add a weblink here). While some preliminary work has started, most of the garden hasn't changed, and for the next couple of months the garden will remain a peaceful green oasis away from the city. Hi, you can find free parking if you drive up the hill to the nearby residential areas, such as Prior Close. It's not a resident only parking area. To get there, pass the main entrance to Prior Park, about 50-60 metres up and take a right into a residential street, before you get to the roundabout right at the top of the hill and onto the main road. Enjoy your day there. It's a beautiful place.
Q:
How far is the walk down to the Palladian Bridge?
A:
From the main entrance, it as about a 10-15 minute walk to the Palladian Bridge.
