The best of the palaces we visited. Some outstanding rooms, artwork and sculptures. Whilst I'm aware it's a curated building it also left me with an impression of the past, which is what I look for… Full review by chrisgilbane

They are indeed two separate events. We never visited the tower, but did a thoroughly recommended English language tour for the main palazzo. That took of the order of 1 hour. …

They are indeed two separate events. We never visited the tower, but did a thoroughly recommended English language tour for the main palazzo. That took of the order of 1 hour. Hence, if palazzo first, a 1 1/2 hour gap should be safe.

We didn’t have a tour guide. We just wandered through the castle on our own & spent about 2 hours. It’s a huge palace with many displays so you can spend as much time as you like. We didn’t take the stairs up to the dome as we were tired from other activities on that day. You will enjoy the castle.
