I seem to remember this Clinton area having a high crime rate. Is it safe for a single person to walk at night from the Palace back to a hotel such as the Hampton Inn , Hilton @ State & Lidge or the Fairfield on State St?

If you are doing it after a performance I say go for it! Usually at that time there's plenty of people around.
