I wish I knew what a disappointment this was going to be!! You board your car, free for all seating. They immediately come in and give you a small cocoa and a small package of Walkers shortbread cook…Full review by scubascaff

I'm writing this review because when I was looking for reviews of the Portland Polar Express experience I couldn't find many. We rode the train at night, the sound of the train on the tracks, the whi…Full review by nancymW6666YU

This short train trip is a unique and fun way to see a part of Portland and learn a little about its rail history. The trip is short, well-narrated and very reasonably priced. This is a good activity…Full review by Flo L
I’m not too sure. Their website doesn’t have listing for their hours for the whole year. I would call the office to inquire about their hours in January.
Hi, This will be our first time in Portland. Would you recommend the train ride for couples without kids? I was hoping to do a wine/beer tasting on board, but those events aren't offered during our trip dates. I don't mean to offend anyone, but we do not want a hokey kid-centric experience. We'd like to see and learn about the bay, but in a more adult atmosphere. If the train isn't it, than that's fine, we'd rather know ahead of time. Thanks for your honesty, friends!

Hello Teresa, This is a quirky train ride with no wine or beer tasting. The round trip is about forty minutes - starts at the museum, goes to where the tracks disappear into the bay then returns. It is just a different way to see the bay. We are an elderly couple, traveling with our granddaughter and we all enjoyed the experience. The museum is really worth a visit and included in the ticket.
