Agreed, it is more like an art establishment than a museum but I think that makes it stand out from museums in Berlin. Granted, there are countless museums which repeat the same infamous history, but… Full review by Lily T

Super powerful museum. Exceptional art works, deeply chilling. Great permanent exhibition too. Went with my 12 year old daughter who was deeply moved. Full review by Robert M

Q:
Is there a cloakroom at the museum ?
A:
Yes, of course. You go to the room, you open a little cabinet and you can only lock it with a euro coin. Once you unlock it, you take your money back. I hope I helped.

Hi, I only saw bathrooms on the ground floor as you go in, and once inside the museum it is not easy to exit, you have to go all the way to the start or the end. Also there are only three toilets, one male one female and one disabled! They are free though. Had problems with the handles, they are tricky to open, you might think it is locked when it isn't or have trouble getting out. So if you need quick access to a toilet I think you may have a problem.

The elevators were difficult to find and there were no staff around to ask. 1. The elevator in the new building can’t take you to the main level that you come in on. You have to ride it down to the basement level and then walk down a long hallway to get in another to take you up a floor to the main entrance. 2. While many found the architecture intriguing, we found it nonsensical and difficult to get around. Since we couldn’t use the stairs, we ended up in the middle of an exhibit floor with a map that was not in English (only German available to us).
