We did it today and had 90 minutes in Bamfield. It's a twenty minute walk to Brady's Beach so yes, you will have lots of time. The marine research station is across the river from where the ship docks, so I'm not sure how you get over there.
Is the Francis Barkley and the Lady Rose two different boats?

One in the same. A nice trip if the weather holds. A nice slow pace up the sound. Get your food order in pronto or you might have to wait a while if the boat is full.
Has anyone ever taken their dog to Bamfield? We have a small dog and our dog sitter is not available for the date we booked and just wonder if we should cancel or take him?

Yes, we do allow dogs on board. They must be leashed and remain on the outer decks because of the food service inside.
