One point I forgot to mention, the area is surrounded by national park and plantation forest, around 100,000km2 and we are informed that each year preventative fires are light continuously from March through to late September, and as a consequence a smoke haze is present during this time, and of course sore eyes and blocked sinus as a consequence. We encountered the sore eyes and blocked sinus and now we have become aware of this smoke haze in the area, basically the Parks and Wildlife web site suggests to stay indoors to minimise the affects of smoke inhalation, my god. Anyway at least we are now aware.
