High banks offers a variety of recreational activities, including hikes on wide, well- maintained trails. Our group took an hour - long loop trail with an overlook of the river. Full review by Keith H

Yes, shelters can be reserved ahead of time. This is done frequently for parties or school groups. However, not all people appreciate having the shelter reserved, so you will need to …

Yes, shelters can be reserved ahead of time. This is done frequently for parties or school groups. However, not all people appreciate having the shelter reserved, so you will need to get there early and "protect your ground", so to speak. I advise putting up several large signs around the shelter. Highbanks will send someone to help if you need assistance.
