Our guide, Jeff, was knowledgeable and attentive to the group’s needs. Very well organized and orchestrated. A ‘must do’.Full review by Linda R

Quite awesome! Even though we didn't have the best weather, our guide still made this memorable (and educational). You probably know the drive from the visitor center to the summit is demanding. Let …Full review by jiminoakland

If you are asking about seeing and standing close to the Lava flow, which is east of the "head" of the volcano is now (as of March 30) a very long 3-1/2 hour hike each way. It will be strenuous and for experienced hikers (with the right boots, etc) The lava flow has shifted and the hikes are longer than before. If you want to see the volcano head (at the Jaggar Museum), it is a very short walk from the parking lot...

We walked from the parking lot to the observation deck at the museum, however beyond the stone wall was all roped off!
Looking to do the Kilauea volcano lava tour. Being advertised as very strenuous...trying to get a sense of how hard it is and how fit you need to be. Thanks!

We did the all day bike/bike tour and it wasn’t overly strenuous. Biking in the rain down the volcano is definitely something we won’t forget. A couple uphills that are not too strenuous, but they aren’t too bad and you can walk bike if needed. The hikes through lava tubes, rainforest and lava fields were not bad at all. We stayed for the evening lava tour and it was one of our favorite days on the island. We went on a Weds and got to experience Uncle Robert’s farmers market for dinner and walked out to the black sand beach there. If you can do the all day, def do it. We used Nui Pohaku tour group for that particular tour.
