Spectacular castle that dominates the landscape. Great base for exploring the Snowdonia National Park also Portmeirion and the railways at Porthmadog. Lovely sandy beaches as far as the eye can see… Full review by hugh m

Unfortunately a very wet day when we arrived so did not get to appreciate the location of the castle or views due to rain and mist. Cafe was very busy too so no seating indoors. Castle itself appear… Full review by 417marioni

Enjoy the film in the Visitors’ Centre before you go into the castle . Be prepared to climb a lot of steps too in the tower - but, the view is jaw dropping . Full review by MargaretPonthir

Yes it is but the castle walls and some of the towers are intact.

I think about £6/adult £20/family and free for disabled people and their carers. not sure about children and oaps, although I'm sure Google could tell you.

You mentioned family and dog. Can I ask are there restrictions on being able to take you dog with you??

While officially dogs are welcome, my recollection is that this doesn't apply to all parts (for safety reasons). Your dog needs to be kept on a leash at all times.
