Q:
I'm trying to figure out how to visit the 'Nave' in the Grand Palais - the big, central, glass room. On the Grand Palais' website, it says: "- Can I see the Grand Palais atrium during my visit to a National Galleries exhibition? The atrium is part of the Nave in the Grand Palais which is not run by the National Galleries. It cannot therefore be seen during a visit to the exhibitions of the National Galleries, but it does have its own schedule." Does anyone know where I can find this other schedule/have any information about how to visit that portion of the building? Thanks!
A:
I am not sure, but it is my sense that one can visit the "nef" only in conjunction with an "event", like a fair, being held in it. If I were you, I would send them an email and ask your question.
Q:
Are you able to go into the main room with the glass ceiling when visiting? Or is this usually closed off for special events?
A:
The main room is only open for special exhibitions . You can see a part of it from the restaurant in the corner of the grand palais
