We spent 4 days in Goreme and this visit was the most anti-climatic experience. First, the area is not well laid out and completely un-organized. There is quite a bit of climbing, so you need to be i…Full review by Angela C

If you are staying in Göreme this museum is a must visit. Within walking distance from the center it is comprised of numerous rocks, cave houses and cave churches. A picturesque and exciting place.Full review by amk2f

Walking is not terribly difficult you might want to consider a hiking stick just for added stability if you or a fellow traveler is not surefooted. A car is a plus and will make you much more flexible. Honestly sidewalks and streets in most cities are more difficult to navigate. We live in Turkey and feel very safe especially a place like Goreme. Keep in mind that on Easter is the referendum vote which is a day to stay close to home and avoid crowds. Also if you get a guide in Goerme you end up at the carpet factory and an hour long sales pitch and at the pottery factory and a sales pitch it is better to get some good guide books and do it on your own. We stayed in the Nostalgia cave hotel and were very happy. A recent traveler booked a hotel and was shuffled to a different hotel due on construction in the booked hotel- don't let them pull that trick on you unless you view the new room first and agree to staying there.

25TL per person, but that doesn't include access to the entire museum. Some parts are sectioned off and require an extra fee- I forget exactly how much, but if you want to see the entire area, budget extra to be safe. Bring lots of water and be prepared for long lines into the really amazing caves (they're worth it though!).

Hi! we did not buy any Museum pass at Capadocia, we just buy tickets in the entrance, maybe it is something new. There are several open air places to visit, We stayed at Goreme, Arch Palace Hotel, highly reccommended, and from there went to many places and towns by line bus. You may also rent a bike or a car, if you have a high budget. I think that those tickets may be sold in every tourist office. You should not miss Capadocia, the globe tour and the open air parks. Enjoy!
