Visit the O’Keeffe Welcome Center, gateway to the Georgia O’Keeffe Home and Studio Tour and the spectacular Rio Chama valley. Find us in Abiquiú, 45 miles northwest of Santa Fe. The Georgia O’Keeffe Home and Studio is accessible only by advance-reservation tours, which run Tuesday through Saturday from the first week of March until the third week of November.

We would like to have a tour of the Georgia O'Keeffe home and studio and to avail of the landscape tour of Ghost ranch to properly have an experience of the place that inspired so much of her work. We will not have access to our own rental car and would like to know what options we can avail of to bring us from Santa Fe to Abiquiu and Ghost ranch and then back to Santa Fe. I don't know about a walking tour because if you go to her house at Abiquiu you must be on a bus and there is very limited opportunity to walk freely and explore. You get the bus at …

I don't know about a walking tour because if you go to her house at Abiquiu you must be on a bus and there is very limited opportunity to walk freely and explore. You get the bus at the Abiquiu Inn for the short ride to the house. You can walk around at ghost ranch. You need to get tickets to Abiquiu well in advance as they are almost always sold out because so few people can go on each tour.

Hi there, You must go to Abiquiu. There is a cafe next to the entrance to where you check in and board a tour bus. The bus will take you through points of interests that inspired several of Georgia Keeffe's paintings. The home is in Ghost Town, Abiquiu. Unfortunately the museum in Santa Fe is a bit far from the home. Be sure to make reservations for the tour and allow enough time to get there.

Hi Kim, there are three levels of tours, descriptions for each are available on our website (website addressees cannot be posted here). The grounds may only be accessed during the tour and all tours include O'Keeffe's garden. O'Keeffe painted many depictions of the door on her patio, as well as the view of the road visible from her bedroom window, both visible on the tour. Should you wish to see more of the specific landscapes, I recommend you consider a tour with Ghost Ranch. They have a bus tour that goes to different sites.
