Does Carnegie Hall have a strict policy against bringing backpacks to performances? I'm attending a performance after my classes and won't have time to drop my bookbag off home before I arrive.
A:
I have not seen anyone lug a backpack into the room but people do bring rather large purses and briefcases. I would call the theater directly on this.

It is a concert hall not a train station or hotel where things like that are normally kept.

You just have to go to the box office and get a free ticket. There are also many "recitals" that you can go to. I would highly recommend actually going to a musical event there!!!
