How high is the highest Zipline? ---------------------------------------------------- Do you start of with a smaller zipline first? --------------------------------------------------------- By the time someone gets scared, it'll be too late to be reasonably scared because it's not that high off the ground anymore? ------------------------------------------------------------------- The scariest part for me is that split second it takes to feel it hook to the line and the first look down. I did love the feeling of flying though. :) I don't want my kids to inherit being scared. lol. I've only been on a smaller one, maybe 50-60ft?

These lines are very high off the ground. This one was above the hemlock trees in the mountains. The guides are great and are extremely good at reassuring you. The longest is 1/4 mile long. They have other lines that might be applicable for newer zips. These were incredible views, fast, and it took about two hours to get through them all. There are rope ladders and rope bridges etc.

If you are doing Climb Works and Smoky Mountain Outdoors, allow yourself 30 minutes to drive from one to the other. Probably allow 2.5-3 hours for each activity just to be safe. They only take about 2 hours each though, but there could always be a problem or hold up on one of them. They keep it running pretty smooth though. They want you to arrive early at both so you can get checked in. Really they have you arrive way earlier than you need to, but I'm sure it's so they can account for everyone and keep things running smooth. I was hesitant to book both the same day because I thought we may be too tired after one, but after doing them on back to back days I would say you probably won't be too tired to do them. However, we got rained on hard while rafting and were freezing afterwards and wanted to do nothing except get in a hot shower. So keep that in mind. We got hot ziplining so doing rafting after could cool you off. Because that water is cold and you will get wet.
