Not worth it, we waited standing in line for more than an hour for 5' of nice views. Expensive tickets, too. Would not recommend. Full review by filio m

I emailed the Atomium Terrace today and it replied as follows: "The Atomium Terrace is situated outside the Atomium, right in front of the main entrance. You do not need to pay the entrance to go to the terrace since you do not go inside of the Atomium. There is also a restaurant in the highest sphere of the Atomium for which you do not need to pay the entrance if you do not plan to visit the Atomium. You can just present yourself at the booking desk and my colleague will give you a free ticket ‘restaurant only’ and accompany you to the lift to go up."

I’ve read in terms and conditions that there is a smart casual dress code. Is this serious really enforced? Are jeans permitted?
A:
Don’t worry. I went with my family in jeans and the kids in shorts. There is a restriction of back packs but that’s all. The only thing I can imagine is for the restaurant but that is optional.
Q:
Can I have the student discount even if I'm a non-belgian student?
A:
Yes you can! I am from the UK, they didn’t even ask to see a student card to be honest!

My family and I are planning to visit Brussels in August. This is definitely a point of interest for us! Is there an elevator inside the Atomium? I am not sure that our eight year old will be able to handle all the stairs. Our hotel is near the Grand Place. Does anyone know how to get to the Atomium from La Grand Place i.e. which train or tram to take?
A:
There is an elevator inside . If you go on there Webside they explain quite well how the tour is organized!
