Morning aarti happens at Assi Ghat (called Subah e Banaras). Can also do boating after aarti at Rs 50 per person. They bargain a lot for boating. I saw they also charged 200 bucks with someone. So b… Full review by Ankosh L

To be honest this ghat is a perfect to experience during a trip Varanasi. it is better to reach here by around 5:00 pm to get a good spot by the Ganges to watch the aarti ceremony of lights that star… Full review by Wander19777324188

Yes, Not only cars, but our own tempo traveller (on hire) was parked right beside ASSI ghat near the Alakananda cruise jetty. Boats are available from Assi ghat for various ride options - they charge around 300 bucks per head or 3K for whole boat - these are country boats with gensets and loud noise...so be prepared for smoke and noise too...although once sailing - these hardly matter cos the view mesmerizes all.

If u need to be close to temple and ghats and feel proper Varanasi, I would suggest hotel Ganges grand.. it's right at the junction and few metres distance from temples and ghats.. and is well maintained hotel too... cleanliness, good food and comfortable facilities. If you are looking for more elite stay, then Taj is preferred. However, it's far from main places and u need to struggle with traffic of Varanasi for each and every visit to ghats/temples.
